Amateur Golfer Dies in Car Crash
LONDON (May 1) - Walker Cup squad member Ben Enoch has been killed in a car crash, the chief executive of the Golf Union of Wales said. The amateur golfer was 19.

Enoch, whose elder brother Rhys is in the Great Britain and Ireland squad to face the United States in September, was driving to a tournament Thursday in England when his car crashed into a trailer.
Enoch was due to go to the United States later in the year to take up a golf scholarship at East Tennessee university, where Rhys is already a student.
Last summer, the Welsh golfer was part of the Great Britain and Ireland boys team that beat the Continent of Europe.
"Our thoughts are with the family at this terribly sad time," said Richard Dixon, the chief executive of the Golf Union of Wales. "Ben was one of the most promising golfers in Wales, a bright and vibrant personality in our teams. He had a chance of getting into the Walker Cup team this season, such was his talent, and would surely have represented Great Britain and Ireland at some stage before enjoying a career in professional golf."
The 2009 Walker Cup is being played at the Merion Golf Club in Pennsylvania on Sept. 12-13.
